Christ Our Vision Child Care receives the first Covid-19 food relief

After having spent 45 days of a total lock down and a compulsory self quarantine in Uganda  rising from the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, a lot of needy children went starving and became victims of domestic violence in their families. All the savings the low income earners had saved was used to buy food and necessities at home until it was no more.

People had hoped that the task force through the government of Uganda would give them food relief, unfortunately our district was not among those that were considered for relief. When the situation worsened, guardians whose children are studying at Father’s Children Nursery and Primary School which  is under Christ Our Vision Child Care run to its executive directors and founders  Pastor Samuel and Evangelist Robinah Ssekirime’s home seeking food relief as the situation was so alarming and beyond their control.

It was a great surprise that after two days Christ Our Vision Child care received Community food relief  from the TFCM our long term partners and 40 families both sponsored needy children and non sponsored were reached to in the community each family receiving 10kgs of maize floor, 8kgs of beans,  2kgs of sugar,2kgs of rice and a bar of soap to help them wash hands regularly with soap and running water to prevent the spread of Corona Virus and solve the hunger challenge that came up as majority of low income earners had used all their saving to meet basic needs at home. Needy children and their guardians were so glad to be blessed with this miracle and many of them cried tears of joy. We thank you so much our dear esteemed long partners for helping us respond to Covid-19 effects in Uganda.
