His execellency Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni ,thepresident of Uganda addressed the nation on Tuesday 21, Tuesday 2020 concerning the four months lock down and it seemed the lock down is steadily easing!!! The president opened salons and arcades effective 22/ July/2020 and boda-boda riders (Motor cycle transport means) effective 27th/July/2020 on condition that they all follow the standard operating procedures like wearing face masks, shield guard, sanitizers, and keeping the social distance as measures to fight Corona Virus. He also extended curfew from 5:30 am to 9:00 pm

Other enterprises like Tourism industry, Non food markets, Education Institutions, churches and mosques are still on lock down until further scientific research however as Church based Christian organisation we are grateful that different teams and organisation have helped us respond to the hunger need in our community since April to July as a way for showing the love of God to God’s people in the community in such a great pandemic.

Christ Our Vision Child Care is excited to appreciate the T.F.C.M Team that has been consistent in supporting Orphans and vulnerable children and well as needy families, Elderly and single mothers in terms of food stuffs and soap to wash hands regularly to prevent the Corona Virus hence surviving in the pandemic.

A couple of weeks ago for the fourth time T.F.C.M had donated funds worth to provide food to 40 needy families in the community and sponsored needy children with each family receiving 5kgs of maize floor, 2.5kgs of beans, 2kgs of sugar,1kg of rice and 1 bar of soap to help them wash hands regularly with soap and running water to prevent the spread of Corona Virus.

Having spent four months in the lock down, majority of Ugandans especially the low income earners had surely spent all their savings and a miracle of food distribution from well wishers is such a blessing in the time of need.We are always thankful to our dear esteemed new and long term partners for helping Christ our Vision Child Care respond to Covid-19 impact in Uganda.
